Myths of The Ukrainian Crisis: Shades of Grey of Conflict and Crisis by Olga Onuch (University of Manchester)

  • Seminar Room G, Manor Road Building Oxford, OX1 3UQ (map)

This event is open to the public and a light lunch will be served outside the seminar room at 12.50pm.

This lecture will trace the trajectory of events that followed the “Ukrainian Crisis” and unpack the six central myths that were reproduced in policy and academic commentary and why they impede not only our understanding of the roots of the crisis but also possible solutions to it.

Olga Onuch (@oonuch) is an Assistant Professor in Politics at the University of Manchester and an Associate Fellow at Nuffield College (University of Oxford). She is the author of Mapping Mobilization: Understanding Revolutionary Moments in the Ukraine and Argentina (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014)
