Deep Recee-Strike: Doctrinal Developments
Juliette Ash, CCW and Army
Juliette is a former advisor to the SACEUR and a Field Army reservist. She has worked on multiple operations in the UK and Europe, focusing on ISTAR capabilities and development of the Recce-Strike complex at the divisional level in order to enhance decision making on the battlefield.
Her research interest lies within this field in the context of multi-domain operations and the new ‘transparent battlefield’, in particular, understanding how best to ensure military advantage through reliable and timely information processing and passage across the Recce-Strike complex supported by relevant technological developments in Artificial and Open-Source intelligence.
A former elected politician, think-tank director and business founder she anticipates bringing the practitioner lens to research and has both received commendations for implementing system efficiencies: enabling effective collaboration between agencies, strategic context setting interventions and innovative educational methods and has informed public policy throughout.
Her expeditionary endeavours include competing in the ‘World’s Toughest Race’ – the Eco-Challenge in Borneo, summiting unclimbed peaks in Greenland and completing self-directed expeditions to Svalbard.
