On 5 November CCW will be welcoming back former Visiting Fellow, Professor Janne Haaland Matlary for a study day on Nordic-Baltic Defence. Other speakers from the region will be bring a variety of perspectives on this very topical area.

CCW Director Dr Rob Johnson is speaking at the Exchange and Liaison Officers Conference at the British Embassy in Paris. His lecture will look at the co-operation between the French and British during World War I and what it can teach us about alliances today.

CCW Director of Studies Dr Annette Idler, has been awarded the  2015 Cedric Smith Prize for the best piece of peace and conflict research by a UK-based student.  For more information on the Conflict Research Society's Cedric Smith Prize, please click here.
