The Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on an exciting new project directed by Dr Annette Idler in collaboration with Dr Robert Johnson and Professor Peter Wilson, and supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
The project “The Changing Character of Conflict Platform: Understanding, Tracing and Forecasting Change across Time, Space and Cultures” aims to produce a comprehensive knowledge platform on how and when armed conflict changes, with a view to enabling governments and international organisations to adapt their strategies and policies to address ongoing and prevent future conflict (see http://conflictplatform.ox.ac.uk for more information).
Experience in engaging with external stakeholders, including governments, international organisations and think tanks, is highly desirable. The duties of the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will also include assisting the Project Director and the research team in the academic and practical organisation of two a conferences on the Changing Character of Conflict Platform, to be held in Oxford in September 2018 and September 2020.
