Part-time administrative position
CCW seeks a part-time administrator to work in the Programme's office in the Department of Politics and International Relations, supporting two of our new research projects. Director of Research on Russia and Northern European Defence and Security
CCW seeks applications for an Academic Director of Research on Russia and Northern European Defence and Security. The post-holder will be responsible for the academic direction of research on Russia undertaken under the Programme’s auspices and will also pursue her/his own research in one of the core disciplines of the Programme. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 15 February. Full details are available from the Pembroke College website.
Post-doctoral research positions
CCW is also seeking applications for two post-doctoral research positions. The first is a three-year full-time position, to work on The Changing Character of Conflict Platform. The successful candidate will hold a doctorate in statistics, development economics, political sciences, conflict studies, or other related field.
The second position is to work on the CCW research project "Conflict Actors to Architects of Peace: promoting human security in Colombia and internationally". A background in the ethics and law of armed conflict or a related field is required.

Student Assistants - Summer Conferences
The Changing Character of War Programme (CCW) is looking to appoint student assistants from the University of Oxford to help with administrative tasks during two conferences over the summer:
1) The Executive Leadership Course (26-30 June at LMH)
2) The Conflict Research Society Annual Conference, 2017 (18-19 September at Pembroke College, Oxford)
Assistants will provide effective and dedicated administrative support for these conferences, carrying out tasks such setting up the conference spaces and escorting guests to the conference rooms. You would be paid £7.50 per hour and also have the opportunity to sit in on the conferences which would be of particular note for those studying or with an interest in International Relations, Humanitarian Issues, War Studies and Strategy.
