Books

We have significant experience in producing and editing journal articles and major publications. More than 17 titles have now been published in the CCW series with Oxford University Press, including The Changing Character of War (2011) and Clausewitz in the Twenty-First Century (2007). CCW members and our visiting research fellows have produced dozens of articles and peer reviewed papers, as well as volumes of their own, including Blair’s Wars and Britain’s Generals (2013); War From the Ground Up (2012); and High Command (2014).

Books have been published by our CCW authors this academic year, including Robert Johnson The Great War and the Middle East and Sir John Kiszely’s highly topical Norway Campaign. In the autumn of 2017 we will publish the next edition of the New Strategist Journal online, with a particular thematic emphasis on deterrence.

Simon Akam, The Changing of the Guard, (due for publication in late 2017)

John Kiszely, The Norway Campaign, a strategic study, (Cambridge University Press, 2017)

Douglas E. Delaney, The Imperial Army Project: Britain and the Land Forces of the Dominions and India, 1902-1945
(due for publication in late 2017)
